We curved to avoid the waves and to find the firmest ground. Perhaps this cave would make a good shelter from a storm. Some are rather unadorned like these while another (seen later) has a private landing strip and solar cells on the roof. About 2.6 miles in - we are in no hurry as we soak up the sights. 17:31.");slides[17] = new Slide("18", "Sights can be found anywhere. <ref>The colorful rocks, shells, and what not</ref> popped out more in real life than they do here. The patterns that form are also fun to see. It must have been a lonely posting. Petrolia was the nearest town and it was a hard 11 mile horseback ride away. All that remain are the lighthouse and an oil storage building. We could've spent the entire evening trying to climb around the exceedingly steep grassy bluffs and not made it to Cooskie Creek. Since we were still in a high-tide zone and high tide was at about 11:00 there was little chance we would make it out of the zone (some 3 miles away) before we would be getting too failar with the Pacific Ocean. We slept in.
