Local peopple, maybe ACR railroad employees, have installed ropes and a ladder to help people with the climb. They certainly helped me. I don't know what the trail distance from the canyon floor to its top is but the vertical ascent is on the order of 600 feet. This lake is perhaps half a mile beyond the major ascent. There are some cabins on the lake. I'm not at all sure how people get supplies to these places. Seaplanes maybe. There is a gnarly two-track, definite 4-wheel drive type path, but wether it's really viable is not something I can say. It's a lovely lake.
